Answer:

Explanation:

On August 28, 1963 The March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, was held in Washington, D.C. The aim of the march was to fight for the civil and economic rights of African Americans. More than two hundred thousand people attended the march.

Martin Luther King Jr delivered his historic "I Have a Dream" speech in front of the Lincoln Memorial,  in which he called for an end to racism.

As a television journalist covering the event, I was mesmerized by the unity of the people in the fight for their civil and economic rights. People from all walks of life had come to witness the historic event.

I was impressed by the eloquence of Dr. King. He inspired millions of people across the country with his speech. I was overwhelmed by emotions that day. It was the most significant day of my life. As I watched Dr. King, I could not help but wonder how the power of words could rouse such feelings in people.

Dr. King’s Speech

Being a television journalist, the greatest opportunity for me came up as I marched to Washington to cover Dr. King’s speech. In my opinion this speech was the most motivating and inspiring speech I ever heard.

The speech was not just a speech but a vision of seeing all the tortured and oppressed Africans or the so-called “Negros” liberated and free at last. The speech is a dream to see the African brothers and sisters sharing equal civil rights with the whites.
