As I’m Norwegian, I think I’d go for another Norwegian. That way we’d understand eachother better. That’s not mainly a language thing, but a cultural thing. And not really a security thing either, it’s more of a let’s-not-build-up-misplaced-resentment-based-on-their-not-getting-my-popular-culture-references dealio.
I think I’d go for a woman. I’m a bisexual man, but as most people are straight, if we’d be wanting romantic and/or sexual interactions, female’s my best bet. Not that there aren’t giant flaws in this idea and that it’s massively based on luck, but I think it’s still a valid, if insignificant/negligible. I also personally find that women pay more attention to and spend more effort on getting along with others, be it through personal hygiene and make-up or patience and listening skills.
