I was on my way to school dreading the exam i was about to take. my palms were sweating as i tried to go over everything i studied in my head. as i was walking, i saw an elderly man on the opposite side of the road. he was trying to cross, when all of a sudden he tripped on the curb! i dropped my book bag and ran across the street, being sure to look both ways. we didn't need two injured people. "are you alright?" i asked the man as i carefully helped him up. "yes, i think so." he replied. a wave of relief came over me... until i saw his arm out of place!!! I felt as though i was going to faint! but i didn't want to frighten the man. so instead of yelling, i calmly said "sir, your arm." i gulped. he looked down confused and began to laugh. im not going to lie i was nothing short of terrified. what i didn't know, was that the elderly man had a prosthetic arm. "oh that happens all the time" he chuckled. we walked across the street together and he thanked me for my help while offering me a mint. i was suddenly less terrified for my exam.
