Dear Diary,
Today is Sunday and I actually had the time to take a walk down the road and watch the potters working. It was amazing how they took a lump of clay and moulded it into beautiful structures. Some made small pots, some large ones, while yet others made oversized pots. Each of the creations needed a lot of patience. Their hands were very steady, applying the right amount of pressure that would only shape the clay and not break it up. And then, when the desired shape had been attained, they would simply slice it off the wheel using a piece of string. The level of expertise was unbelievable! I think we need to promote our local potters more consciously, rather than buying from big online stores. Our potters deserve more recognition and clientele.
