I am 3 feet tall, lean, but straight and sturdy and my weight is less than half a kilo. In spite of my strange physical statistics, I am proud of the fact that I am quite strong. The reason why I say I am strong is because, I can support weight 150 to 200 times my own!

The life of a walking stick is not easy. Other than supporting weights, most often, I have to lead the way too. I make sure that I convey the right sensation to my master, through vibrations and feel. I am put to several uses, including chasing away cats and dogs!

My type come in several designs and makes – wood, aluminium, fibreglass etc. But we all serve the same noble purpose and that is, help the elderly and disabled to walk.

I am a service provider to old and handicapped people to walk.

It gives me a lot of happiness.

I am a Walking Stick.

I am the need for old and handicapped people who are unable to walk on their legs without support.

I provide them support so that they can move with their heads held high.

The was born seventy years back. I still remember I was made from a  Neem Tree.

There were different kinds of trees around me and had friends and used to talk to each other.

There were a lot of birds and nests on the tree branches.

During sunrise, we used to get up by their melodious chirping.

Travelers used to rest under me in the cool shade.

The travelers used to get relieved with the cool breeze that I used to fan them.

After relaxing under my shed, they used to eat their food, drank water and then again start their journey.

It was full of pleasure.
