Antonio is a passive character from the play of the merchant of venice by William Shakespeare. Antonio signed that deadly bond against the Jews because of his overconfidence on his mercenary business. positioning myself in his place I would consider all my probabilities carefully from each and every point of view before signing the bond. however Antonio was so blind in love to his dearest kin bassanio that he signed it. I would be a little bit more careful while dealing with the argute jewellery. being tactless and abusive is not a way...but more care would be a useful remedy.
