Dear Diary
Today was like all the other days. I was living in the shadow of fear and nervousness. Dad came to me in the morning to give me a casual kiss, as soon as i heard his footsteps approaching my room, i went into the bathroom and locked myself in there so that he couldn’t find me and go to his office. I didn’t wanna face him. The strange part is that when i came outside, dad was still there, i asked him while stuttering “Dad, why aren’t you in your office uniform. You are going to your office. Right?” To this he replied, “You are coming with me.” I couldn’t believe what he said, i asked in disbelief “What?! I have to go to school”. He told me about my uncle’s accident and that mom and granny have to stay at the hospital for 2 days. I will have to stay at his office’s kids area everyday for 6 hours, for two days.
I was really upset but there was nothing that i could do about it. I thought that his client are just like him, but to my surprise they were really happy to see me there. They bought different types of juices and chocolates for me. They treated me like a queen! I love dad’s clients and his office. Its fully air conditioned and the washrooms smelled like a very expensive perfume.
We went back home. I didn’t talk to dad in the car. I tried to start a conversation but he was way too tired to answer my questions and listen to all my blabbering. He might answer my questions tomorrow. He is just too tired after work. I should just give him some space. I hope his clients help me with my homework tomorrow.
