Dear Swami:
I hope this letter finds you in perfect health and finding out a way to reach me, your beloved soul mate. It has been many moths since I was abducted by wicked Ravana.
It is by taking huge risk I am writing to you. Some kind Dasis have smuggled pen, paper and ink. I won’t be able to write much. Dear Lord, Jatayu came to rescue me from the clutches of the demon, but was vanquished by the latter. I saw himfall to the ground, badly injured.
Some Dasis have confided to me that you, along with your army have reached to the southernmost tip of the peninsula. I was also told Sampati, Jatayu’s brother has helped you by narrating that he had seen me being flown towards Lanka. I am infinitely indebted to both these brothers.
I am dying to see you. I am sure you will soon cross the sea that separates us. I am sure you will defeat the demon and free me from his slavery. My every moment passes missing you. That’s all for now. Blessings for Laxman.
