Explanation:
The poem "The Road Not Taken" is written by Robert Frost. The main theme of the poem is everyone in his life has to come across stages where he has multiple paths or roads in front of him, but the person has to choose one road or make a decision.
Now according to my approach, one must chose such a road which is not travelled by many. Meaning that decision should not be influenced by others, rather it should be one's own choice, one should lead his own path and journey of life
(This poem is written by Robert Frost. Since I have to imagine myself as the poet, the answer needs to be in first person.)
I was walking in the woods when I came to a point where the path diverged into two. Each path led to a different direction. I had to decide which way to go. So, I stood there, took my time and weighed both the options.
It was a difficult choice, because no one had taken those paths that particular day. I eventually took the second path, because it looked like fewer people had travelled down that way. It seemed more promising and exciting.
I hope I can come back some day and take the first path and find out where it leads to, but knowing how paths lead on to others, I doubt if I can ever come back. I also hope that someday, many years from now, I will be able to tell others about the path I took, without any regrets.
