I am Mukesh; I live in Firozabad and am employed in the glass-blowing industry. I do the work of bangle-making. I have inherited poverty and life of struggle from my parents. I am forced to do the work of bangle-making. My ambition is to come out of this vicious circle of poverty. I will do it by learning how to repair cars. Then, gradually I will begin to earn enough. If I continue to work in bangle making industry, I won’t ever earn enough, like my father, who has not been able to provide the family a decent house, nor any education to his children.
