Answer:

Explanation: I greeted him but did not stop digging the ground. I, being old and weak breathed heavily. The king came to me and put his questions before me. It was not the suitable time to answer his questions. I simply listened to his three questions but buried myself in my work. The king noticed that I was tired. He offered to do the digging for me. I gave the spade, to him. I sat down to take rest. The king repeated  his questions three times. I kept quiet every time.

EXPLANATION:

I am the great Tsar of Russia. The whole world bows before me, yet I feel so helpless at times. Three vital questions keep haunting me. If only I knew the right time to begin something, if only I knew who were the right persons to listen to and if I could gain the knowledge of whom to avoid I would be much at peace. Alas, there is nobody who can help me! Let me seek the advice of the old hermit living in the forest. I must be careful to hide my identity as he doesn’t entertain rich people.

Several days have passed yet the hermit refuses to answer my questions. Here I am toiling in his humble dwelling helping him with all his chores but not a word of guidance has he answered. I even tilled his land for him to lighten his burden, a work I have never done in my life!

Who comes running to his hermitage? A man bleeding profusely. Let me help him. How badly he is wounded. It is my duty to dress his wounds and stay by his side the whole night lest he needs anything. Thank God I have been able to take care him. He is much better now.

Oh how beautifully the hermit has answered all my questions. The best time for doing something was when I ploughed his land and helped him. He was the most important man to be listened to. To do him good was the most important work. Then the important work was tending to the wounded man. The important person was the wounded man. So the answer to the first question is that the only important time is the present. The most important person is the one we are at the present. The most important thing is to do that person good and to avoid not doing our responsibility.
