Hey mate here's your answer:-
If vertebral column would be a single long bone :-
1) we would have not been able to stand because our vertebral has a slight curve which enables us to balance our body while standing.
2) we would have not been able to bend because it is because of small bones in vertebral column that provides flexibility and enabling us to bend.
HOPE IT HELPS YOU

mathcrackernishant: 3) in vertebral column there is a hole in every vertebrae forming a narrow tunnel like path from which madula oblongata passes in the form of spinal cord and gets distributed to whole body.
mathcrackernishant: if you need more points then please let me know
mathcrackernishant: opps sorry this point got wrong
mathcrackernishant: please add on to the point
mathcrackernishant: if vertebral column would have been a long single bone then there would not have holes around it and thus spinal cord would not get space for branching itself to spread throughout whole body
