Shahjahan and Aurangzeb the great mughal as rulers of India routed Britishers when they tried to oppose the Mughals in Bengal. Aurangzeb the Alamgir captured them all , imprisoned and forcely converted them to Islam. The incident took place due to petty dispute between British and Mughals on some business issue. As they were leader in navy force and giving a protection to mughal ships which emboldened them and was a chord of contention. Later on the rest Britishers were pardoned.
