Explanation:

The main drawbacks of Dalton's Atomic Theory are: (i) It could explain the laws of chemical combination by mass but failed to explain the law of gaseous volumes. (ii) It could not explain why atoms of different elements have different masses, sizes, valencies

Limitations of Dalton's Atomic Theory It does not account for subatomic particles: Dalton's atomic theory stated that atoms were indivisible. However, the discovery of subatomic particles (such as protons, electrons, and neutrons) disproved this

Answer:

the theory was pointed which brought revolution in the field of science. it have some drawbacks or limitations which are listed below

  1. atoms have been found to be made of sub-atomic particles. the important out of these are electrons protons and neutrons
  2. atoms of the same element may have different masses (isotopes*)
  3. atoms of different elements may have same mass (isobars*)
  4. atoms of different elements may not always combine in simple whole number ratios yo form molecules of a compound.
