Greed' means a strong and selfish desire for something.people who are greedy can never be happy in their life because greed can never be satisfied.it is something which has no limit.now days, greed for wealth and power has become a very thing among us.greed can make people do even things which are likely to be impossible.it is very true that greed for wealth and power is the chief villain of our woes or troubles.it can destry our lives.one can even murder people to become powerful or to become rich.greed makes people blind.

For:

in this world, people give more importance to things .they love things more than human lives.this world now runs totally on money.without money and power,a person cannot actually survive on earth.they will be finishes off within few minutes by powerful people who posses power and great wealth.greed for wealth and power is sometimes mainly to survive on this earth contained mainly of selfish people.

Against:

as i said before ,that greed can never be satisfied.a person is never happy.he wants more and more.when he cannot get more power and wealth by honesty,he chooses to take the wrong path to get more power and wealth.sometimes, the mans career gets destroyed just because of this greed.greed is a very dangerous thing.it virtually kills us.

conclusion:

what so ever is the condition of the people of earth,we should always be on limit.we should not have things more than we require.when more than enough is there,we become greedy and want more and more.so we should be happy having things earned by honesty.these are what god has given us.be thankful to him for these precious gifts.

Answer:

Some leaders have strong desires to win elections and get a place in the cabinet. Some families want to have an upper hand in the village. Some persons are greedy to learn more and more so that they may do something great. Some persons want to become rich and great overnight.

Greediness is always there in all these persons. To be greedy for worldly possessions is not always good as one has to deviate from the right path in order to satisfy one’s greediness. But to be greedy for virtues and knowledge is always good. In the Mahabharata the great sage Vyaas says:

‘ Greediness, anger, envy, jealousy, malice, shamelessness, and harsh words spoken against each other—these different evils/weaknesses pierce into the body of human-beings.’

As we are human-beings, not gods, we bear these evils . But at the same time we have a unique mind that helps us to get rid of these evils or to mitigate them.
