The Russian Revolution of 1927, which is also known as the Bolshevik revolution had a considerable impact on the ideological movements of the 20th century.

The Russian Revolution kindled the spirits of the Indian revolutionaries. The temporary success following the Revolution in 1905 was appreciated by some radical sections of the Congress party in India. They began to adopt the same revolutionary practices followed by Russia.
