Streetplay means act performed on streets. What we miss out is the motto behind every act, movies, theatre, drama all these forms are for public entertainment. Streetplay has very different and challenging audience as compared to other pllay forms. On the streets you dont have live music, set, lights nothing is there to help you out or to provide effects. Hence it is very difficult for performere to hold the audience together and wait for the play to finish. One person will take interest in your play only if its is beneficial for him/her. And giving a social nessage has always been key for successful street plays. It gives everyone lesson and belief to fight against evils in society. Also both the actors and audiences in stretplay are at same level, which is not seen in theater and other act forms. So it connects you better with the society. You get feedback easily and this is the true source of motivation. I have been performing streetplays for 3years and it gives me immense pleasure when everyone around you is taking your message home and applauding your work. Stretplay should be done for people as it is the form mainly focused on social awareness and uplifting of the society. Be bold. Be creative. Be satirical. Be clear. Be social.
