Implants act as an effective means of conception in human females as they release their dose in small and steady amounts and keep the body/ uterus already prepared so that pregnancy may not take place. They either change the timing of ovulation or change the environment of uterus and cervix non susceptible or make endometrial layer non susceptible for implantation.

The advantage of implant over the pill is that a pill should be taken within 48 hrs of coitus but there is no hurry with an implant. If it is already there then nothing to worry but if not then you have a 72 hr window to get an implant.

The name of the permanent contraception in females is Tubectomy. In this process the fallopian tube is cutted so that ovum and sperm doesn't fuse together to form zygote.
