Answer

There are almost numerous ways through which exchange of gases in plants takes place.

Here are the different ways through which each and every part of the plant take care of their own leaves of gaseous exchange.

In leaves

Basically the stomata present in leaves play major the most important role in the gaseous exchange . It allows the removal of carbon dioxide from the plant to outside during the phenomenon of respiration while just was occurs in the case of photosynthesis when plants absorbs carbon dioxide and removes oxygen.

In stem

In mature plants basically lenticels are responsible for carrying out the gaseous exchange in the Woody axis.

It is the most important region that facilitates the gaseous exchange during respiration in the plants.

In roots

In the case of roots the thread like structures coming out from the root surface known as root hair are responsible for carrying out gaseous exchange.

Hence overall conclusion is that individual parts of the plant have their own capacity to take care of the needs of their gaseous exchange not just is stomata present in the leaf however it can be considered as a major site for serving this purpose but considering it the only site of gaseous exchange is extremely incorrect.
