proper sanitation is important because of the following reasons:
1.Prevents accumulation of pests and vector.
2.Prevents diseases spread by vector borne diseases.
3.If garbage is thrown in water it causes eutrophication and damages aquatic life.
4.Garbage like plastics when eaten by street animal lie cats,dogs ,cows etc. can kill them.
