Too much of monoculture, with the result, other species are side lined - even though they may have other potential uses.Developed countries plundering underdeveloped countries in guise of teaching the methods of the system & utilizing their natural resources.wanton use of shrimp trawls - disturbing the benthic ecology of sea/ocean floors - also causing turbidity in marine waters, thereby lowering primary productivity. The marine products actually land on the tables of the developed countries.
Small meshed cod end has & is killing babies of many varieties of fishes - thereby these baby fishes doesn't have a chance to grow to adult size, bringing down productivity of marine waters - this leads to loss for the system.
