HINDUISM is a way of life

Unlike other religions in the World, the Hindu religion does not claim any one Prophet, it does not worship any one God, it does not believe in any one philosophic concept, it does not follow any one act of religious rites or performances; in fact, it does not satisfy the traditional features of a religion or creed........

.................................

it's a culture that most of the people of Indian sub continent follow..........

in the ancient period the Arabs(people of the middle east started to call us Hindus) coz we were people leaving along the river Indus (sindu) ....

Hindu is important because it encourages debates and questions towards any of their ways. Asking questions and debates is the basic concept of Hindu ways because they recognize this is the way to attain the truth or their ultimate nature..........

-Hinduism does not invent God but it discovers.

-A unique characteristic of Hindu set of religions (includes Buddism, Jainism etc) is that its philosophers start the analysis from a more concrete and most logical question of "who am I" than to start with the postulations on an abstract God at the start.
