Importance of art exhibition?

From earliest cave paintings, we have had art exhibited on walls, adorning structures and integrated into our tools. As far as we have come from those primitive times, there is still a connection between the artist and their veiw of the world, their art and with the viewer. Bringing art together into exhibits enables all of us to experience the works, together in communities, to respond, talk about , enjoy or dislike, and connect. That is important and reason enough. For the artist, having my work included in an exhibition is a chance for me to share what means a lot to me. Sometimes it can also lead to my work being acquired, a “vote” that what I do is found important to someone else, which is another connection. I think it is about humans connecting with each other.
