All the regions of a country are akin to the various parts of a human body. They all need to grow & remain healthy simultaneously for the smooth functioning of the nation. Imbalanced regional development would lead to dependence of the developing regions on the more developed regions leading to a possible disgruntlement among the citizenry & skewed economy. Balanced regional development would ensure no region's populace is treated like second class citizens & human capital needs of education, health etc grow in a sustainable manner so as to ensure the overall development of the nation.
