The importance of Bhagavad Gita lies in deepness and complexity of its spiritual message and in its fresh sounding to not only Hindu people but to all other spiritual traditions. It is respected not so much by other countries as by individuals probably from all countries of the world. For anybody in any culture, who accumulated experiential knowledge the Bhagavad Gita is a great source of universally valid wisdom. Anyhow, without experiential knowledge, the Bhagavad Gita is for both Hindus and Westerners “only” a philosophical text (spiritual poetry).
