Answer:

hiiiii!!

Explanation:

Hygiene and cleanliness are important in many areas of business, but are perhaps most pertinent in the hospitality industry. Places such as hotels, bars and restaurants are constantly under public scrutiny and risk losing everything if they fail to pass regular checks from the relevant authorities. There are not many other industries in which the standard of cleanliness is judged to be an integral part of the experience, but in hospitality a major chunk of repeat business relies on the fulfillment of these high expectations.

Although this is no secret to the businesses that operate in this sector; some still struggle to maintain the relevant hygiene requirements and this is not helped by the fact that many hospitality companies are open almost 24/7.

Most businesses will adopt multiple procedures in order to help them to run smoothly but in hospitality these can be even more valuable. Having set practices that need to be carried out at the beginning of every day (or shift) and at the end as well will mean that certain standards are always maintained.

However there is still a need to ensure that these are being carried out effectively. A great way to monitor this is by having a check-list that needs to be completed before you open in the morning and before shutdown is completed in the evening. This could include instructions to the bar staff to clean everything down, empty spillage trays, seal all wine bottles correctly, etc. and should be checked by a supervisory member of staff before they finish their shift.

Anybody working in a hospitality role should know that cleaning and maintaining a general level of hygiene in the working environment is part of their job. However, they sometimes need to be reminded of this. From my time working in hotels and restaurants, I still have the phrase ‘if there’s time to lean; there’s time to clean’ ringing in my head. It is true, though. Any slow periods throughout the day should be filled by routine cleaning in order make sure everything is addressed regularly.

Hope It Helps:)
