Answer:

☆☆ HYBRIDISATION ☆☆

▪ Phenomenon of Intermixing of atomic orbitals with slightly different energies to form new orbitals of equal energy and identical shape is called Hybridisation. The new orbitals are knows as Hybrid Orbitals.

▪ The No. of Hybrid Orbitals is equal to number orbitals mixing.

▪ As the "s" character in hybrid orbital increases, electronegativity and size of hybrid orbital increases.

☆☆ ITS IMPORTANCE ☆☆

¤¤ Carbon has four unpaired electrons and it can have four equal energy bonds. The Hybridisation of orbitals is also greatly favoured because hybridised orbitals to their separated, unhybridised counterparts. This results in more stable compounds when hybridised occurs. So, it is Important.

Explanation:

Hybridization is a concept of general chemistry, it is used in both organic and inorganic one. Its relatively big importance for organic chemistry is due to the fact that it is the only simple model which can explain (approximately) molecular geometry of organic compounds.

I think there will be Hybridization instead of hybridiation...I guess so....
