You have to understand human nature to understand the relationship between freedom and happiness.

Freedom is important because to be free, is human nature.

And we are happy only if we are free.

Nature gave us the capabilities to pick up survival skills so that we can live an independent adult life and be free to live the life that would make us happy.

And we are happy when we can explore Life, inquire and create out of our own free will.

We are born free men and women and should remain free. No one should have to sell themselves for a salary. Unfortunately, this is what is happening now and at a global scale.

The practice of big corporations employing people to work for them is a form of slavery - wage slavery, which Noam Chomsky has been talking about for years.

It has tilted the balance of economics and led to widening income inequality, resulting in some people living with outrageous excessiveness while many are held hostage by money. Many grew up in this kind of system and have accepted it as the default way of life but it wasn’t always this way and it is fundamentally wrong if you understand human nature.

People are beginning to realise that this is not the way to live (they are unhappy because it is against our nature!) so increasingly, we're seeing people exiting the system. They are working for themselves so that they can have freedom and autonomy in their lives and work.

If people should work together, they should be partners/ collaborators, not employers-employees.

No one person is smaller than another person and they shouldn't be made to feel that they are because of corporate hierarchies and/ or social status, and to feel that they have no choice but to submit to another person - it affects their self-esteem, dignity and overall psyche negatively. It contributes to anxiety and depression, which is our biological system telling us, "This isn't right."

Freedom is the basis for happiness. So if you want to be happy, you MUST feel/ be free.
