The importance of India's location are as follows:-
1) It has many neighboring countries around it like Nepal, china , bhutan , bangladesh, etc thus this may help India in developing trade unlike others countries which are isolated and face difficulties in trading
2) India has a large coastline which is also useful in strategic development of Navy
3) The Himalayas prevent India from becoming a cold desert as there are cold winds constantly blowing from north
4) The seas surrounding India has contributed in maintaining the temperature of India
5) It has also contributed for the growth of fisheries
6) India almost has a central location in the world this makes the contact possible with all the countries
7)India has an advantage over transport by sea route as it has a vast portion of Indian Ocean below it and thus it can transport goods cheaply and effectively

These are the importance of Indian location
