$\implies$The importance of the Lahore session of congress in 1929 were :

1. Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru became the president of the congress session which showed that the new leaders who stood by the ideals of socialism and democracy had become quite influential in the congress.

2. The Congress adopted the resolution demanding complete independence or Purna Swaraj for India.

3. It was also decided that 26th January should be observed as the Independence Day and 26 January 1930 was observed as the first Independence Day.
