Well the newtons first all is very important because it states that until and unless an external unbalanced force acts on a body the body will continue to be in a state of rest or in motion along a straight line
here suppose if we throw an object in air and if we ignore first law the onbject should continue in state of motion in same direction but it doesnt happen so because there are forces namely gravity and air resistance acting on the body due to which its speed decreases along with hieght and the speed continues to increase after gaining a particular hieght here there is change in velocity which means there is acceleration but how did this change come from its because of a force and this is well explained by newton's first law
