The most important non metals that is found are H,C, B, N, O, Si, Cl,P,S, Se, Br, and I.
All living matter contains organic compounds which has carbon and hydrogen as the main components. Besides, food found on earth contain carbohydrates which has oxygen as main ingredient. Living begins consume energy in the form of ATP which contains phosphorus. Living beings require amino acids and proteins that contains nitrogen. The methionine and cysteine contains sulfur.
Many body fluids contains chlorine while iodine is essential for thyroid hormone in living beings. Boron and silicon is another essential element necessary for the maintenance of bones. Bromine is important element for the formation of co-factor in enzyme formation.
