It is an oldest and aboriginal society in the history of mankind. It has its own way of living. Tribal society was independent and self reliant. Many of its traditions, practices and customs are good for human being. For example, marriage system in the tribal society. They do not store things for future. Some of the tribes have their own local dialect.

Tribal societies are often studied by anthropologists, sometimes under the (probably false) belief that they give you an insight into the nature of "primitive man". But a more serious reason is that these societies show an extraordinary range of cultural behaviors and help modify some commonly held ideas about universal standards of aesthetics, morality etc.

Also, some tribal societies can be analysed with more rigor since they may be relatively insulated from outside influences, hence the number of factors to control for are fewer.
