Universal law of gravitation :

The force of attraction between two particles is directly proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between these particles are bodies.

Importance of universal law of gravitation :

1. All the planets revolve around the sun due to gravitational force between the sun and the planets.

2. Tides in Ocean are formed due to gravitational force between the moon and the water in oceans.

3. Artificial satellites revolve around the Earth due to the gravitational force between the Earth and the satellite.
