The tourism dept is established. Jobs are required to run the dept., so employment to many people. When people visit a tourist spot, money is collected as an entry fee and for various other things which I don't have to go in detail. That money is used in maintenance of that tourist spot whatever it might be. Of course not always the money goes for maintanence rather it goes to their pockets.
Traveling is a luxury. Exploring new things around the world will give you some sort of happiness. At least for me. I don't know how to explain that feeling. Of course not everybody are travel buffs. You seem to be one them.
