●Mantle is divided into two parts.-Upper Mantle ,Lower Mantle
●Upper mantle is in motlen state upon which tectonic plates floats. It helps to keep the balance on the surface. Plus magma mostly originates from this part of the earth due to which we get different types of rocks.
●Lower mantle or lower part is the solid one that acts like a sandvich between upper mantle (molten) and outer crust (molten).
●Moreover it keeps the internal heat stable, also to some extent one can say it maintains the temperature of our earth.
