Diffusion is the movement of particles from an area of higher concentration to an area of lower concentration until they spread out evenly.

Diffusion is Important to the living organisms because, for example, if food is cooking in the kitchen you can only identify the food if the particles of food are spreading all over the house by diffusion.
If it could not happen you will not be able to identify the food nor perfume or any other smelly thing!
