⇒ in class 11 physics , there are some chapters that has more weightage  in entrance and as well as boards .

⇒ 1) units and dimensions :

the chapter may look easy if you remember all the basic fundamental formulas . this chapter has link with many other chapters , this chapter gives you the fundamental knowledge . 

⇒ 2) gravitation :

one of the easiest chapter in class 11 , if you are completely thorough with the formulas in this chapter , you can easily attempt all the question from this chapter . easy way to score is to concentrate in this chapter more .remember about the orbital velocity and escape velocity , just know about the kepler laws 


⇒ 3) fluid mechanics and solids :

in this chapter , concentrate on the certain concepts , like :  young's modulus , stess , strain , its units , flow of continuity , pressure on soap bubble , work done in streching the wire etc.. this chapter helps you to gain marks in entrance exams .


⇒4) oscillations and waves :

the chapter which is bit confusing but if you focus on it , it is easier , in this chapter concentrate more on  time period of the pendulum , spring in series and parallel , beats , frequency and doppler effect . concentrate more on organ pipes ( closed and open )


⇒ 5 ) thermal physics :

this chapter is conceptual basis , concentrate on the graph parts of isothermal and adiabatic and the main concept in this chapter is effeciency of the carrnot engine . try to solve many problems in this chapter based on carrnot engine .


6) ⇒ kinematics :

this chapter is really sometimes seems to be tough , it bit confuses to use what formulas , but in entrance basis concentrate on the graph parts of accelaration , uniform velocity , also motion in a plane and in straight line , remember about the projectile motions . 


⇒7 ) rotational motion :

in this chapter is just similar to kinematics , the main thing that you should concentrate is on  parallel axis theorem and perpendicular axis theorem for boards . 
 
⇒ 8) laws of motion :

give importance to the collision problems and pulley questions , its a lengthy chapter where it takes time to solve every problem , but you can expect pulley question for 11 th boards .


⇒ work , power , energy : 

it is a simple chapter , just knowing the formulas helps you , the important thing is to remember the idea about  the relation between kinetic energy and momentum .
