electricity is due to the movement of electrons.from -ve terminal to+ve terminal of abattery.the conventional flow of electrons is from -ve to+ve terminal but the external flow  of current is from +ve to -ve terminal.current flows only through a closed circuit.ampere is the unit of current .flow of current can be find out using an ammeter.
