Adolescence is the stage in life, when the child is moving across to adulthood. This is not an easy stage and the child has to adjust to a different social environment.  

During this time, parents, teachers and peers should support and guide the child on the societal norms. It is easy for the adolescents to feel strange and left-out at times, being neither a child nor a fully developed adult. Timely support from elders will go a long way in preventing depression and other negative tendencies during this stage.
