impurities present in water can be separated by:


meenakshi997sa: it basically depends on the size of impurities...... if you have large sized heavy impurities than allow it to settle down and then simply pour the water in another container.... if you have considerably small sized impurity then go for filteration by using filter paper or simply you can 1st evaporate the water and then condense the evaporated water to get the purest form of water..... :)

Difference in the size of particles in a mixture is utilised to separate them by the process of sieving and filtration. In a mixture of sand and water, the heavier sand particles settle down at the bottom and the water can be separated by decantation.
