Answer:

The number of 100 Rs. notes = 5

The number of 50 Rs. notes = 15

The number of 10 Rs. notes = 20

Step-by-step explanation:

Let,

The number of 100 Rs. notes = x

The number of 50 Rs. notes = 3x

The number of 10 Rs. notes = 4x

Value of notes :

  • 100 (x) = 100x
  • 50 (3x) = 150x
  • 10 (4x) = 40x

Total amount he has Rs. 1,450 (Given)

According to the Question :

⇒ 100x + 150x + 40x = 1,450

⇒ 290x = 1,450

⇒ x = 1,450 / 290

x = 5

The number of 100 Rs. notes = 5

The number of 50 Rs. notes = 3x

⇒ 3 (5)

⇒ 15

The number of 50 Rs. notes = 15

The number of 10 Rs. notes = 4x

⇒ 4 (5)

⇒ 20

The number of 10 Rs. notes = 20

Therefore,

The number of 100 Rs. notes = 5

The number of 50 Rs. notes = 15

The number of 10 Rs. notes = 20
