Step-by-step explanation:

A do half(1/2) the work in 10 days

1 part = 10 days

total 2 part = 20 days

  • A can do full work in 20 days

B do 1/3 of the work in 10 days

1 part = 10 days

total 3 parts = 30 days

  • B can do full work in 30 days.

we have to fix the work , both are doing same work for 20 days and 30 days

so, we can take LCM for 20,30 = 60units (total work)

capacity= work/time

A's capacity = 60/20 = 3 units/day

B's capacity= 60/30= 2 units / day

total capacity of A and B = 5 units /day

In Questions, they are asking for only 1/6 of the work , so 60/6 = 10 work

working together 10 work

time = --------------- = 2 days

5 units
