The roles of three countries in central power were: Germany was the military strength. Germany was supposed to fight off Britain and France. While Austria-Hungary and the Ottoman Empire got their armies together. This also meant that Germany had to build up its army as well as its economy. Germany was also the main leader of the Central Powers. The Ottoman empire was supposed to fight off the Russians in the Battle of Odessa in 1914. Austria-Hungary's role was to give a list of outrageous demands to Serbia so Serbia would declare war on Austria-Hungary. This would set off a chain reaction to start WWI.
