Answer:

The quantity of water to be added is 108 litres.

Total quantity = 180 litres

Ratio of milk to water = 3:2

Quantity of milk = 3/(3+2) * 180 = 3/5 * 180 = 108.

Quantity of water = 2/(3+2) * 180 = 2/5 * 180 = 72.

If the ratio of milk to water is 2:3

Quantity of milk = 2/(2+3) * 180 = 2/5 * 180 = 72.

Quantity of water = 3/(2+3) * 180 = 3/5 * 180 = 108.

Answer:

12 Litres

Step-by-step explanation:

given 153 litres of mixture of milk and water

and ratio 11:6

milk : water

11 : 6

3 : 2

make them equal by multiplying

11*3 : 6*3

3*11 : 2*11

then,

milk : water

33 : 18 (51)

33 : 22 (55)

then take a difference between both given water 4.

after that

153÷51 = 3

then 4*3 = 12 litres...

Ans is 12 litres of water should be added in the mixture.
