The second round table conference was organized in 1930 as no conclusion about India's future could be arrived at in the first round table conference.

Congress did not attend the first round table conference and the British did not want to take a decision about the future of India in the absence of the congress(political party of India with widespread roots) and hence no proper decision was taken in the first round table conference. This rose the need for the second round table conference.
