ANSWER:

Kohima, Imphal

EXPLANATION:

The Battle of Kanglatongbi was considered one of the aggressive battles at the time of World War II. It was fought by between the Axis (Japanese) Force and Allied Force (Artillery personnel of 221 Advance Ordnance Depot (AOD)) on the nights of 6 &7 April 1944.  Japanese forces had premeditated a 3-pronged offensive to seize Imphal and the adjoining areas.

When the pillaging Japanese forces were attempting to open their lines of communication to Kohima, a small nevertheless strong-minded detachment of the 221 AOD put a solid resistance delaying the advance of Japanese armies till reinforcement (backing) arrived and the tide was turned against the Japanese, which shook the Japanese and compelled the Japanese to retreat leaving several dead .
