Even in the developed countries people were not so dependent on technology like today. Portable devices like mobile phones, ipod, ipad, laptop etc.
Were not even introduced and therefore, far from being carried in bags and pockets. Neither was the technology so advanced, nor were the people so addicted to a tech savvy lifestyle.
