The National Commission for Women was itself launched in the year 1992. It was in the month of January that the government of India had constituted the welfare organisation, which had been made to safeguard and empower women all along the country.
Some of the activities regulated by the commission are, managing cases of dowry, injustice by in-laws, unfair treatment at work place. They also publish a monthly in English and Hindi.
