in 1st pic why are we multiplying by 2 and 7 and in the second one by 2 and 3? Would appreciate a quick reply. Thanks a lot.​

actually while solving X and Y

we have to eliminate any one of the term

so that we made the X co-efficients equal, by multiplying a number,

and then we subtract to get Y value.

and then we put the Y in any one of the Equation to get the X value
